- A powerful voice for JHS students
- A relevant resource for JHS families, staff, students and community, and
- An advocate for the well-being and education of our students.
2020-2021 Goals:
Communication
Communicate with families, staff, students, and the community through:
- Jackson HS PTSA summer welcome communication
- A minimum of 7 Wolf Tracks newsletters
- A minimum of 4 Jackson HS PTSA membership meetings in person or virtually
- Explore creative communications to engage students
Membership
- Increase family, student, staff and community memberships to 510
- Maintain 100% staff membership
Programs
- Provide a minimum of 2 family, parent, and/or student education opportunities
- Provide funding and volunteer support for enrichment programs, events, and services to benefit students and families
- Fundraise to support PTSA programs, events, and services including School and Classroom grants
- Advertise for National and WA State PTSA Programs such as Reflections, Essay Contest, Game Development Competition and Senior Scholarships
- Provide JHS senior scholarships
Advocacy
- Increase student involvement in advocacy/legislative activities
- Create Student PTSA Representative job description
- Send voting delegates to Legislative Assembly
Humanitarian
- Support JHS student and family needs through fundraisers and events
